Japanese 151 Charizard ex SAR 201/165: $388 raw and $530 in PSA 10 as of October 2026, how it compares with the English 199/165, and how to spot a fake.
Japanese Moonbreon (Umbreon VMAX 095/069, Eevee Heroes): raw and PSA 10 prices, why raw copies rarely sell, the English 215/203 compared, wrong prints to avoid.

eBay sold prices (PriceCharting, PokeInvest); raw sells about once a month, checked Oct 25, 2026. Prices move daily.
The Japanese Moonbreon (Umbreon VMAX HR 095/069, Eevee Heroes, 28 May 2021) sold as a PSA 10 for $4,075 on PriceCharting and $4,399 on PokeInvest as of 25 October 2026; October sales ran $3,355 to $5,245. Raw copies rarely sell: the seven 2026 sales on PriceCharting ran $1,800 to $2,700, the latest on 28 July. Japanese shops ask ¥498,000 to ¥598,000 raw (about $3,150 to $3,790). The English 215/203 is cheaper as a PSA 10, at $3,900.
The Japanese Moonbreon (ブラッキーVMAX, 095/069, Eevee Heroes) sells as a PSA 10 for $4,075 on PriceCharting and $4,399 on PokeInvest (median of 39 sales); 14 sales in October ran $3,355 to $5,245. That is as of 25 October 2026. Raw copies barely trade: seven eBay sales this year ran $1,800 to $2,700, the latest on 28 July. The card image on this page is the English print of the same artwork, because the official database holds no Japanese image of it.
“Moonbreon” is a community nickname, not an official name, for the Umbreon VMAX illustration under a full moon (Samurai Sword Tokyo). In Japanese it is ブラッキーVMAX, the Hyper Rare “SA” (Special Art) print numbered 095/069 in 強化拡張パック「イーブイヒーローズ」 (Eevee Heroes, set code S6a), released 28 May 2021 at ¥165 for a 5-card pack (pokemon-card.com). The artist is KEIICHIRO ITO, who is also credited on the English version, Evolving Skies 215/203 (released 27 August 2021).
The Japanese Hyper Rare is not in the official Japanese database: a search of pokemon-card.com on 26 October 2026 returns only the regular Umbreon VMAX 048/069 and three Umbreon V prints from S6a. That is why the picture above is the English card. The Japanese card should carry the same illustration (both are credited to KEIICHIRO ITO) with Japanese text and the number 095/069, but we have not seen it on an official page.
The English card’s text is a 310 HP VMAX with the Ability Dark Signal and the attack Max Darkness (160), and it gives up 3 Prize cards when Knocked Out (pokemon.com); we did not fetch the Japanese text.
Each line is a median of completed sales, a marketplace price or a shop’s listed price, with the sample and date. Prices move daily; read these as a late-October 2026 snapshot, with yen converted at ¥158 to the dollar.
| Copy | Price | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| Raw, eBay sales in 2026 | $1,799.99 to $2,700 (7 sales) | PriceCharting; latest 28 July 2026 at $2,700 |
| Raw, ungraded table | $2,000 | PriceCharting, about 1 sale a month, 25 October 2026 |
| Raw, estimate | $2,700 | PokeInvest “estimated market value”, not a sales median |
| PSA 9 | $2,505 | PokeInvest, median of 8 sales, 25 October 2026 |
| PSA 10 | $4,075 and $4,399 | PriceCharting (about 3 sales a week) and PokeInvest (39 sales), 25 October 2026 |
| BGS 10 / CGC Pristine 10 | $4,861 / $3,550 | PokeInvest, 5 and 3 sales |
| Raw, Japanese shop price | ¥498,000 to ¥598,000 (about $3,150 to $3,790) | Cardrush (condition A-, 5 in stock) and Yuyu-tei (1), 26 October 2026 |
| PSA 10, Japanese shop | ¥778,000 (about $4,924) | Cardrush, 1 in stock, 26 October 2026 |
TCGplayer shows no market price for the Japanese card, so there is no marketplace figure here. For raw copies the honest answer is a range, not a number: a sale a month cannot set a price, and this year’s sales run from $1,800 to $2,700.
PriceCharting lists 30 PSA 10 sales from 24 August to 25 October 2026. The 14 from 4 to 25 October ran from $3,355 (a Goldin auction on 5 October) to $5,245.45, with a median of about $4,119 by our calculation; the latest, on 25 October, was $4,250. In September the same list includes $6,761.93 and $6,843.41. So a PSA 10 has changed hands anywhere from about $3,400 to $6,800 in two months. Buy against the recent run, not the highest sale.
On paper, yes: 85.1% of 9,123 PSA submissions came back a 10 (PokeInvest population data), the PSA 10 sells for about $4,100 to $4,400, and raw copies sell for $1,800 to $2,700. PokeInvest’s calculator assumes a $349 fee at this value. But the raw side is so thin that a “raw” price is a guess, and a grade of 9 sold for about $2,500, not far above raw. Fees and turnaround are in grading Japanese Pokemon cards.
The English print is Umbreon VMAX 215/203, an Alternate Art Secret Rare in Evolving Skies, released 27 August 2021 (Samurai Sword Tokyo). Same KEIICHIRO ITO illustration; the card text is printed in each language. The Japanese card is the dearer slab, the English the more common one.
| Japanese HR 095/069 | English 215/203 | |
|---|---|---|
| Release | 28 May 2021 | 27 August 2021 |
| Raw | $1,800 to $2,700 (7 sales in 2026) | $1,800 median (122 sales); TCGplayer market $2,298.95 |
| PSA 9 median | $2,505 (8 sales) | $2,075 (59 sales) |
| PSA 10 median | $4,399 (39 sales) | $3,900 (155 sales) |
| PSA graded, gem rate | 9,123, 85.1% | 31,659, 69.0% |
| CGC Pristine 10 | $3,550 (3 sales) | $4,051 |
All figures are PokeInvest medians and populations or TCGplayer market prices from 25 October 2026, except the Japanese raw range (PriceCharting).
The Japanese slab costs about 13% more than the English one even though it has a higher gem rate. With under a third as many graded copies and far fewer sales, a Japanese slab is simply harder to find. Why the two languages price differently is in Japanese vs English Pokemon cards.
No source we fetched reports counterfeits of this card, but at this price a bad copy is an expensive mistake, and the numbers show where mix-ups happen. Check these first:
The foil, edge and light tests that apply to any Japanese holo are in how to tell if Japanese Pokemon cards are fake. For a card like this, prefer a PSA, BGS or CGC slab you have verified, or a seller who documents the card and condition.
Not clearly. SNKRDUNK’s lowest asks on 2 October 2026 were ¥400,000 raw and ¥575,000 for a PSA 10, about $2,532 and $3,639 (asks, as reported by Samurai Sword Tokyo). Cardrush and Yuyu-tei listed raw copies at ¥498,000 to ¥598,000 on 26 October, which is above the $1,800 to $2,700 that raw copies fetched on eBay. On 20 August the same SNKRDUNK PSA 10 asks were ¥899,999 to ¥1,000,000, so asks move a long way.
Shipments from Japan to the US have paid a combined 12.5% duty since 24 July 2026 under the Section 301 action (Holland & Knight). On the $3,639 PSA 10 ask that is about $455 before shipping, insurance and any proxy fee; Japan Post EMS is ¥3,900 (about $25) for the first 500 g, with insurance on top. That puts the PSA 10 at about $4,120 delivered, level with the roughly $4,100 median of recent US sales, so Japan saves nothing here unless you find a lower ask. The cost build-up is in shipping from Japan to the US, and the seller options in where to buy Japanese Pokemon cards. Readers outside the US pay their own country’s import rules; the Japanese prices are the same.
We don’t sell anything yet. When that changes, our listing will be labeled, and the prices here stay what collectors have paid elsewhere.
Eevee Heroes was a 5-card pack at ¥165 (about $1.04), released 28 May 2021 (pokemon-card.com). A sealed box listed at ¥122,000 (SNKRDUNK lowest ask, 2 October 2026) to ¥129,693 (Samurai Sword Tokyo, 7 October 2026), about $772 to $821; TCGplayer’s market price for the Japanese box was $895.19 on 25 October. Nobody publishes pull rates for it. Other Umbreon VMAX prints from the set, from Yuyu-tei and TCGplayer on 25 to 26 October 2026:
| Card | Number | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Umbreon VMAX HR (Moonbreon) | 095/069 | ¥598,000 at Yuyu-tei; no TCGplayer price |
| Umbreon VMAX HR | 094/069 | ¥14,800 (about $94); TCGplayer $42.36 |
| Umbreon VMAX | 048/069 | ¥980 (about $6); TCGplayer $8.21 |
What the rarity codes mean is in Japanese Pokemon card rarity symbols, and the Japanese-to-English set pairings are in Japanese sets and their English equivalents.

As a PSA 10, $4,075 on PriceCharting and $4,399 on PokeInvest (median of 39 sales) as of 25 October 2026; 14 sales that month ran $3,355 to $5,245. Raw copies sell about once a month: seven 2026 sales on PriceCharting ran $1,800 to $2,700, the latest on 28 July, and TCGplayer shows no price for the card.
Umbreon VMAX HR (SA) 095/069 from Eevee Heroes (S6a), released 28 May 2021. The 094/069 Hyper Rare is a different, standard-finish print that sells for about $42 on TCGplayer, and the regular 048/069 is about $8.
As a PSA 10, yes: $4,399 against $3,900 for the English Evolving Skies 215/203 (PokeInvest, 25 October 2026). Raw prices are closer, about $2,000 to $2,700 against $1,800. The English card has 31,659 PSA grades and a 69.0% gem rate; the Japanese has 9,123 and 85.1%.
Not clearly. SNKRDUNK's lowest asks on 2 October 2026 were ¥400,000 raw and ¥575,000 for a PSA 10 (about $2,532 and $3,639), but Cardrush and Yuyu-tei listed raw copies at ¥498,000 to ¥598,000. Duty at 12.5% adds about $455 on the PSA 10 ask, before shipping and insurance.
It is a community nickname for the Umbreon illustration under a full moon, not an official name (Samurai Sword Tokyo). The artwork is by KEIICHIRO ITO and appears on the Japanese 095/069 and the English 215/203.
