Short answer

Pokemon Center Japan does not ship to the US or anywhere outside Japan. As of October 2026 its online store, Pokemon Center Online, accepts Japanese delivery addresses only and limits membership to people living in Japan. In-stock items can be bought through a proxy such as Buyee, ZenMarket or FROM JAPAN for a ¥500 (about $3.20) service fee plus shipping. Lottery-only card products need a Japanese phone number or My Number ID, so they are out of reach from abroad; resale is the only route.

No. Pokemon Center Japan does not ship to the US, or to any address outside Japan, as of October 2026. Its online store, Pokemon Center Online (ポケモンセンターオンライン), states in its delivery guide that it does not accept overseas delivery and takes Japanese addresses only, and its terms limit membership to people living in Japan. In-stock items can still reach you through a proxy for a ¥500 (about $3.20) service fee plus shipping. The lottery-only card products cannot.

Yen prices in this guide are converted at about ¥157 to the dollar (25 October 2026).

Why does Pokemon Center Japan not ship to the US?

The store’s own wording, as quoted by a Japanese card shop on 18 September 2026, is 「海外へのお届けにつきましては、お受けしておりません」 (we do not accept overseas delivery) and 「お届け先は、日本国内のみ承ります」 (delivery addresses within Japan only). We could not load the official page ourselves: every URL on pokemoncenter-online.com sits behind a JavaScript waiting room, so the quotes here come from pages that reproduce it.

The account rules close the door further. Since the terms update of February 2025, Article 15 says only individuals residing in Japan can apply for membership, and membership is required for every purchase. Lottery entries, and some new-set orders, also need phone number authentication by SMS or automated voice call.

Payment is credit card, cash on delivery (plus ¥330) or convenience-store payment (plus ¥165). The payment guide warns that cards issued outside Japan may not work. Domestic shipping is ¥550 (about $3.50) on orders under ¥6,000 and free above that, which matters because a proxy order still pays it.

How does the Pokemon Center Japan lottery work?

Anything in demand on the card side is sold by lottery (抽選販売), not open sale. The MEGA “30th CELEBRATION” card set, for example, was ¥7,200 (about $46) through an online lottery in August 2026. Here is the sequence as collectors describe it, with the rules current to September 2026.

A Pokemon Center Online card lottery
  1. You Register and verify Membership requires a Japanese residence; a phone number is verified by SMS or voice call.
  2. You Choose a track Verified track: My Number ID card checked through the Pokemon Card Game Players Club (required since August 2026). Unverified track: phone-verified members only. Most winning slots go to the verified track.
  3. You Enter once One entry per person per product. Multiple accounts and resale-purpose buying are banned in the terms.
  4. Pokemon Center Online Results by email Everyone is emailed, win or lose.
  5. Winner Pay within the window Often about three days. Miss it and the win is void. Items ship to Japanese addresses only.

A My Number card is a Japanese resident ID, so the verified track is closed to anyone living abroad. On big release days the store also runs a virtual waiting room: on 8 October 2026 it opened at 9:30, drew lots for entry order and capped each shopping session at about 20 minutes. Even regular listings carry caps such as 「お一人様5点限り」 (5 per person).

One forum regular who orders in-stock goods to a forwarder address summed up the lottery side in March 2025: forwarder addresses had not won in years. We have no official odds; the community figures floating around are not published by the store, so we do not repeat them.

Which proxy service works for Pokemon Center Japan?

For in-stock items (plush, apparel, accessories, most non-lottery card products), a proxy buys from the store with its own Japanese account and address, receives the parcel, and forwards it to you. Fees as of 25 October 2026, from each service’s own pages:

Service Type Service fee Notes
Buyee Proxy ¥500 (about $3.20) per order, plus a ¥500 Standard Plan Domestic shipping typically 150 to 1,500 yen per order. Has a “Global Shopping Cart” button on the Pokemon Center site.
ZenMarket Proxy ¥500 (about $3.20) per item at standard stores Consolidation free; 60 days free storage; photos ¥500 per item.
FROM JAPAN Proxy ¥500 (about $3.20) per item Same item in multiples charged once; you pay item first, shipping and fees second.
Remambo Proxy Not published on its Pokemon Center page Order by pasting the product URL into its form.
Blackship Forwarder $1.00 receiving per package, $3.00 consolidation You order yourself; cannot help with SMS verification. Its partner Japan Rabbit holds verified store accounts for a limited number of customers.
Tenso Forwarder Not available Whole site in security maintenance on 25 October 2026.

Two things no proxy or forwarder can do for you. They cannot enter a lottery on your behalf, because the entry is tied to a verified personal account. And they cannot make a foreign card work at the store’s checkout; with a proxy you pay the proxy instead, which is the point.

With a forwarder you use your own store account and the forwarder’s Japanese address. Collectors have reported normal in-stock orders to a Tenso address going through in 2025, but the residency clause in the terms puts such accounts outside the store’s rules, and Blackship says it cannot help with the phone-verification step.

International shipping, duty and the proxy’s payment fee come on top. Since 29 August 2025 US Customs no longer waives duty on low-value parcels from any country, so budget for it; our shipping and tariff guide has the current rates, and the proxy comparison costs a full sample order.

What Pokemon Center Japan exclusives are people chasing?

Store-opening promo cards and regional “Special Boxes” are the big ones. Prices below are completed eBay sales via PriceCharting and SNKRDUNK’s average transaction prices in Japan, each with its date.

Item Retail What it has sold for
Special Box Pokemon Center Fukuoka (promo: Fukuoka’s Pikachu, SV-P 289) ¥2,090 (about $13), lottery only, July 2025 and March 2026 $152 sealed (PriceCharting, 25 October 2026; October sales $116 to $173). About ¥30,000 in Japan at the February 2026 peak (SNKRDUNK).
Fukuoka’s Pikachu 289/SV-P, raw Included in the box above $61 to $125, most $76 to $110 (eBay sold via PriceCharting, 1 to 20 October 2026). From ¥20,000 in Japan (SNKRDUNK, February 2026).
Mega Tokyo’s Pikachu 098/XY-P (Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo opening, 2014), raw ¥16,000 average in its first month $299 to $840 across 12 eBay sales, 12 to 22 October 2026 (PriceCharting). ¥140,000 average in Japan (SNKRDUNK, February 2026).
Kanazawa’s Pikachu 147/S-P (Kanazawa opening Special Box), raw ¥3,500 average in its first month $144 to $450 in three eBay sales, July to August 2026 (PriceCharting). ¥65,800 average in Japan (SNKRDUNK, February 2026).
MEGA “30th CELEBRATION” card set ¥7,200 (about $46), online lottery, August 2026 No dated resale figure yet.

The spread on the older promos is wide because condition varies and eBay volume is thin, so treat the ranges as what buyers paid, not a value. The Fukuoka box shows the pattern: a ¥2,090 lottery item that sold for about 14 times retail in Japan right after the raffle restock, then settled to about $150 in the US eight months later.

Plush and apparel are the other half of the catalog: 2,351 plush and mascot items and 847 apparel items were listed on 9 October 2026. They sell as regular listings rather than through the card lotteries, which makes them the easiest Pokemon Center Japan purchases to make through a proxy. Fakes of the promo cards exist too; our guide to spotting fake Japanese cards covers what to check.

What are the alternatives to buying from Pokemon Center Japan?

Pokemon Center US (pokemoncenter.com). The official US store has its own exclusives and promos and delivers to US addresses. It does not carry Japanese-store items, and we could not load its shipping page to confirm the exact delivery area, so check it before ordering.

Amazon.co.jp with AmazonGlobal. Amazon Japan ships eligible items to the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia and most of Europe when “international shipping” shows as a shipping option on the listing; duties may be charged at customs. Whether a given Pokemon Center item appears there with export enabled varies listing by listing, so it is a thing to check, not a plan.

The resale market. For lottery-only items this is the only route from abroad. Japanese card shops that ship overseas, Mercari Japan through a proxy, and eBay sellers all carry them; the table above shows what they have fetched. Our where to buy Japanese Pokemon cards comparison covers those sellers, and how to buy Pokemon cards from Japan walks through a first order.

Does Pokemon Center Japan ship to the UK, Canada or Australia?

No. The Japan-only rule has no exceptions by country. The UK, Canada and Australia/New Zealand each have their own official Pokemon Center online store (Canada since November 2020, Australia and New Zealand announced June 2024) with regional exclusives and regional delivery only. For Japanese items, buyers in those countries use the same proxies in the table above; the proxy fees are the same, and only the international postage and import rules change.

No. Pokemon Center Online's delivery guide says it does not accept overseas delivery and ships to Japanese addresses only, and its terms limit membership to people living in Japan (wording as quoted on 18 September 2026).

Does Pokemon Center ship worldwide?

No single store does. The Japanese store ships within Japan, and the US, Canada, UK and Australia/New Zealand stores each ship within their own country or region. Pokemon Center Canada, for example, ships only to Canadian addresses.

What is the Pokemon Center Japan lottery?

For in-demand card products the store takes entries during a set window, draws winners, emails everyone the result and gives winners a few days to pay. Entry needs a verified account with a Japanese phone number, one entry per person, and since August 2026 the priority track needs a My Number ID card.

What is the best proxy for Pokemon Center Japan?

Buyee, ZenMarket and FROM JAPAN all charge ¥500 (about $3.20) in service fees on an in-stock order as of October 2026, plus Japanese domestic shipping and international postage. None of them can enter a lottery for you.

Does Pokemon Center Japan ship to the UK or Canada?

No. The Japan-only rule applies to every country. Canada and the UK have their own Pokemon Center online stores with their own exclusives, and for Japanese items buyers there use the same proxies and forwarders as US buyers.
